#Quarantine.., majority of us wouldn't have come across this word until the start of this year. Although, it automatically shot up among vocabulary use worldwide once the COVID-19 was declared a pandemic.

Today we are sitting in our homes quarantining from the outside world. It's been a little above 3 months. Yet, the pandemic is nowhere nearing to an end and so are our quarantine days. Looks like 2020 will pass with no office, no vacation, no parks, no gyms, no theaters, no meetups, also no pizzas and ice-creams!? Petrifying indeed.

Im sure we all have our share of ups and downs in this quarantine. Lucky are most of us to have a job in hand during this time. I feel so much more grateful when I see so many people struggling to build their lives in these tough times.

An empty mind is the devil's workshop, they say. With companies declaring indefinite work from home, there is no more hustle to reach office being stuck in traffic for hours. This leaves us with so much extra time. The fact that we cannot out go out and we don't have a plan of what to do with the sudden increase in time drives us stir-crazy.

My days were no different. I wake up every morning with a big checklist wanting to do everything but end the day doing nothing. I was in a feeling that after a month or two this luxury of extra time will be gone. So there is a race to achieve a bunch of things before monotony hits again. In this race, we seldom embrace ourselves leading to anxiety and mental stress.

Having a simple routine and following it diligently can make things much more simpler. Within the routine dedicating an hour or two dedicating to one's self which I call the "me time" doing what you love the most can shift the game altogether. I feel this personal time releases "feel good hormones for me". It can be anything that you absolutely love in this time. For me it's been journaling, illustrating, cooking, meditating, exercising so many options to name. I have been doing this for sometime now and it has worked wonders for me.

For anyone who might be reading, have you had deja vu? Do you think your quarantine days are similar to mine? If so, comment below and let me know how you are spending your time in QUARANTINE.
