Dear reader, its been a while since I posted my last blog. But hey! I have something exciting to announce. In addition to my regular blogs, I would be starting a new series of posts narrating how I tried designing each corner in our new home. I hope you like it. And if you do, please share it with your friends and family.
To begin with, let me start with the entrance which is the Foyer area. When we were looking for designing our house all by ourselves, I had a couple of ideas for this teeny weeny space. And, this is how it looks today.

Foyers, often referred to as entryways are these small spaces which lead to our hallways. And very often they are abandoned while doing interiors. Until recently, thanks to the interior/decor sector boom and a zillion ideas on Pinterest no nook or corner is left untouched.
I had a few of pinteresty ideas for this space to begin with. A big mirror, a bench, a couple of cushions to play around with colors and many more. Mind you, everything on Pinterest looks catchy but what you need to keep in mind should be, is your idea complementing or conflicting with the already existing things in your house This is exactly what happened in my case as well. With all the wooden furniture already in place, the modern Bohemian ideas couldn't fit in.
You can never go wrong with the classics, they say. One such classic combo is of the Brass and wood. That's how an wooden console table and a majestic Krishna idol made their place in our Foyer area. The idol not just looks royal but also brings a sense of calmness to the space. And the beautiful table from Hometown serves its purpose by gracefully hiding all the daily essentials including the helmets, raincoats and masks within. To elevate the space we have added a spot light above and a hint of greenery around. Investing in indoor plants for your decor not just adds a pop of color but also, brings your space to life.
What do you think about the space? Let me know in the comments below. Also, don't forget to subscribe to the blog so that you wont miss out on any new posts in future.
