This week last year, I started this blog. So officially, I can say that this marks the first birthday of my blog. In this one year, we managed to publish 30 blogs and I would like to thank every single person who visited my blog at least once.

Similar to this blog the same time around, I also started one more habit of reading books. With a lot of avid readers in my family, reading was not something new to me. I used to read a lot of books during my school days. My interest in books comes from my grandpa who had a wide collection of books with him. Once he is back from the fields, he would indulge himself with his books. So much so that while he is tired he would fall asleep while reading a book on a chair but he would never leave his book. My mom is another voracious reader I know. With provision to borrow 2 books from the library during school days. She made sure that one library card was reserved for her. No matter how fat the book was, along with all the household work she made sure that she finished the book before going to bed. So u can imagine every second day I had to rush to the library to get her another book!
With some extra me-time in this pandemic, I felt why not get back to books again! I read one, then another, then the list continued for a year making it a total of 20 books. I read mostly physical books but the ones that I felt were a bit pricy, I read them on my kindle. I wish I used my kindle often. Poor thing. I'm sure all the kindle owners can relate with me here! Reading 20 books in a year is not something that's huge, but I'm getting there. There are so many things to love about books. Some books are thought-provoking, while some make you knowledgeable, some make you laugh, cry, and all those mixed emotions, but there are also books that make you fall in love with them. Now that I'm getting the hang of it, I sometimes feel that I have missed this so much over all these years.
Reading books is great but that does not mean even if you arent into them you should force to do so. When and what to read should an individual's personal choice. So, if you are into books or not, it is worth giving it a try. You never know until you give it a go.
